Pretty shoddy for a big name1
So I bought this with an in car tape adapter as I heard the radio ipod players were poor. The sony tape adapter that I bought is wonderful with clear crisp CD like sound and when silent minimal whirring and noise.

This holder however was the pretty much opposite. It's made pretty poor in my personal opinion and it will only stick to glass. It will not stick to any other surface and having an ipod staring you straight in the face whilst driving is not my idea of fun!

This wouldn't be so bad if the cable was flexable enough to move to position your ipod, which to an extent the cable is flexable...until the prit stick like glue wears out and the cable constantly disconnects from the base. I would of had the ipod near my person if I wasn't afraid of the cable disconnecting and the ipod attacking me whilst driving due to the cable falling from the base...

Generally I think it's pretty dire and I'll be taking it as a lesson learned in not buying such a rubbish piece of kit.

Bits redundant, bits not there, but it works3
No doubt it works well, but I would make some changes to design:
1. Side grips are too high - if you seat iPhone 3G at bottom of holder, the side grips squeeze the volume control and turns down the volume for you.
2. Bottom holder hole for iPhone cable neednt be enclosed. This means you must thread the cable through the holder into the phone then attach. Easier to attach the cable to phone then phone to cradle. I have broken mine off, intentionally. The vacuum sucker thing holds the phone strongly enough.
3. Cradle doesnt rotate to landscape, which is a pity as I prefer my SatNav in landscape mode.
