Good quality, can crop corners in super wide lenses
Hoya filters do exactly what they say on the tin. They are a name I've come to trust over the years.

I always use a skylight filter on my lenses, mainly to protect the front element but there is always the added benefit of the actual effect they lend to the shots which admittedly is a secondary concern for me with this type of filter.

However, Hoya have created a good quality filter which is suitable for all lenses bar those of a wide angle nature. For wide angles get the special slimline filters to avoid the corners of the images being cropped off. This won't matter if you're using a full frame lens on a crop sensor body.

Very good Hoya filter
I bought the filter mainly as a 'lens protecter' and I'm happy to say that I simply forget its on the camera. It makes no discernable difference to my exposures. Very pleased with it and the price was reasonable.

It Works. Enough Said.
Bought this to replace my polariser which was eating up too many f-stops on my Tamron 18-270.
Works a treat, what else do you want.
