    Love it!!!5
I bought this camera after researching for a while and got it becuase of the reasonable megapixels, zoom, settings etc. I was really pleased when i got it, it looks really cool and the picture quality is great. There is a huge range of settings and is an amazing camera becuase it can be dropped and it doesnt matter and it doesn't even scratch.Although i have only tried it once underwater, it works and the pictures is clear and the underwater feature is not a gimmick; its really cool. I am really pleased with the quality of the pictures, it ruggedness and its appearance.
    5 STARS!!!!

    Tough Camera5
Finally time to upgrade my camera, Thought i would go for something a little more rugged, as I did not always carry my previous cameras in case i damaged them.
Took a couple of Photos, then it was straight into the water as it was a sunny day (water was baltic by the way). Preformed well under water as well as above. I did not go any deeper that 2m but the camera was fine, made sure I washed it well in fresh water after is "salt bath".

I cannot fault this camera, does exactly what it says it will do, tough and rugged to boot. No need to buy an expensive under water housing for shallow depths.
Good choice if you have young children as well, as there is little risk of them damaging it.
Only flaw was no card came with the camera, it does have internal memory, but a free card would of been nice

    Stunning all-rounder5
I was going on the holiday of a lifetime which included a trip to the great barrier reef so investigated underwater cameras while wrestling with my conscience as to whether I should buy another digital camera as I already have a perfectly serviceable Fuji FinePix E900 Digital Camera [9MP 4 X Optical Zoom] In the end I decided to get the MJU850 as it was more compact as the E900 as well as having the underwater features.

After extensive usage I cannot speak highly enough of this camera. The first difference from my Fuji is how much better the night shots are thanks to a higher ISO setting of 1600. However you really need a compact tripod e.g. Joby Gorillapod to take full advantage of this as the camera has to be perfectly still or pictures are horribly blurred. Or in my case I had to find a ledge to rest it on as I'd forgotten my tripod. Moving on to the underwater performance, it survived a full day of being in and out of salt water for up to 90 mins at a time, as well as being sat on in my back pocket as I got on and off the boat. The underwater pictures are amazing and really captured the reef well despite the difficulties of seeing the lcd screen through snorkelling gear. Examples of nighttime and underwater shots have been added to the amazon page.

Other areas that impressed were the large LCD screen and the fact the battery seemed to last a long time between charges. The camera also has a scene seletion mode which makes it easy to pick the right settings. However I did miss having a viewfinder for bright daytime shots where viewing the LCD could be tricky due to glare.

In summary this camera gave me the pictures to make a once in a lifetime holiday even more memorable and the money spent is small for the priceless value of the pictures.
