    Presented in a deluxe box5
this really is an ideal gift for the serious entertainer in your life!

From the Le Creuset/Screwpull range, this super lever action corkscrew makes very light work of removing even the most stubborn of corks - particularly the plastic ones - with ease!

Simply place the SCREWPULL on the bottle then holding it securely in one hand, lift the lever up and over the bottle with the other... then bring back to its original position - result!

Complete with foil-cutter and full instructions.
Also available in a BLACK NICKEL finish.

Had mine eighteen months now....and still going strong.... but relieved it was a gift given the RRP!

    Effective and substantial5
Here's a little history - years ago I used a shelf mounted Rapid corkscrew at my work opening perhaps 200 bottles of wine in a night for functions and it was brilliant but too expensive for home use.
A few years ago some cheap copies became available and I bought one. It certainly wasn't up to the mark - almost working just isn't good enough.
I had a good one titled "the ultimate corkscrew" but it developed faults as did the (foc) replacement and, embarassingly, the one I gave a friend.
I have wanted a Screwpull lever model for some time but was put off by all the flappy bottle grips and stand business. Enter the LM400.

Fast forward to now - Admittedly I haven't used it much (yet) but:
    1. It works well and the lever is long enough to balance the effort
    2. It is substantially uilt so I expect it to go on working for some time, though you don't get an idea of the scale of it from the pictures - it's heavy in your hand!
    3. It is designed to handle plastic corks
    4. I feel confident replacement spirals and so on will be available for some time and they are easily replaceable.

It is well put together with nice use of materials such as a firm rubbery polymer to grip the bottle.

btw my second choice would be the pocket version of the (trilogy) single spiral simple screwpull and my (long suffering) wife would chooose a simple waiters friend - both of which fit in the cutlery drawer (and before the airlines got so picky in a washbag).

I love it and wish I'd designed it.

Update - I've used it a lot over the past months and it continues to give good service. I do expect it to last years. NB I note the price reduction has gone.

My stock wedding present at the moment.

Is satisfying and easy to open wine and a dream if you ever need to open a case or two for a party.

    Enjoy,
