Product Description

Siemens SL375 is from the same stable as the technical tour de force that is the SL565; note it does NOT replace the SL565. The Siemens SL375 has a smaller (and lighter) handset, approx 15mm smaller than the SL565, with a slightly smaller colour LCD display. Siemens SL375 also adopts the same form factor as the SL565 in that the main base is separate from the handset charger; which is a pleasing chrome finish. Data synchronization and download of screensavers is via Bluetooth and using the Gigaset QuickSync software (the only way to connect to a PC is via bluetooth). Caller id with picture attach, 40 min record time for the answer system, vibrate, clear speakerphone on each handset and 250 name / number / anniversary phone book are all carried over from the SL565. Please note SL375 is repeater compatible (BT Diverse/Siemens V2)

semiens gigaset sl3755
what great phones. they look and feel like mobiles with many fantastic features. easy to set up and use.
Channel 5 gadget show recommends these and i support their view.
Ligo are the company that Amazon deal with for these and they are very efficient and helpful. give them a ring if you need any advice before you buy.

Dissapointed2
I was really looking forward to receiving my Siemens Gigaset SL375 cordless phones. Initially they were easy to set up and looked great. It was when I started trying to make use of the more sophisticated functions that the disappointment started. My main complaints are:

1) I spent the best part of a day trying to work out how to bluetooth my contacts, pictures and music to the phone. If this is something you want to do, FORGET IT! Having spoken to the Gigaset 'helpdesk' many times now, we all agree that this is not possible - the bluetooth is really only for attaching a headset. Don't expect to be able to do any of this via a data cable either as you won't be able to buy one that is compatible.
2) The volume of the speaker phone is not loud enough.
3) The ringtones are not at all good.
4) The UK 'help' desk are not at all helpful or very well informed.

These are quite expensive phones and I had expected to be wowed by them but actually feel very disappointed with both the phones and my experience of Gigaset customer care. I do not think these phones are worth the money.

Very attractive, easy to use phones. They were incredibly easy to set up in terms of basics, but I have yet to progress to the more complicated features. If they are so good to look at and easy to use, why have I only given them three stars? Three reasons really:

1. Voice calls always sound a bit fuzzy. This may be the norm for cordless phones (I don't know, these are my first cordless) but compared to my old corded phone, which was slightly crackly anyway, the sound quality is not so clear.
2. The choice of ringtones is limited. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but I like my phones to ring in an old fashioned sounding way and old fashioned ring tones aren't available, although lots of annoying tunes are. If you like annoying tunes then this will not be a weakness.
3. Value for Money. These phones are expensive and so I was expecting better basics for my bucks. The above may be minor quibbles, but when seen in relation to the amount paid they grow. Presumably the extra cash is for the added gizmos I haven't tried out yet, but I was wanting extra high quality at the basic level and I don't think I have gained that.

In conclusion, they are ok phones but I can't get too excited by them because of the above issues. Next time I'll look for something cheaper without the extra features, but which provides the highest quality at basic levels.
