Do NOT buy for Auto-Back-ups
This is a great little drive with one BIG PROBLEM if you want to run automated back-ups. The drive goes to sleep after a very short space of time - 5 minutes according to the instructions; in my experience, usually within 15 mins or less. The problem is that when the drive goes to sleep it become INVISIBLE to your computer and the only way to wake it up is to unplug and replug the power cable. This is very annoying and resulted in all my automated back-ups failing as the computer couldn't find the back-up disc! I emailed the support address in Hong Kong for a work-around but they never replied to me. According to some IT people I asked, apparently some high-capacity drives HAVE to shut off or they can get so hot they melt!!! Not sure if this is true but all that I have written before is true in my experience. The drive has a plastic casing unlike many of the other drives which have aluminium or a built in cooling fan. I am using Vista 64bit but can find no evidence that this could cause the problem described. If you don't mind the inconveniences described the drive is great looking, silent and works well in all other respects. You will need to buy your own Esata cable as this is NOT supplied. Nor is any back-up software.

Excellent quality drive
A little more expensive than pure USB(2) drives but it gives you faster e-SATA access. However, while it comes with a USB to mini-USB cable, there is no e-SATA cable supplied so factor the price of one of these in to the total cost.

No complaints on its use so far (approx 2 weeks) in backing up and transferring files between several laptops and desktops with a mixture of XP SP3 and Vista Business SP2.

Finally build quality is excellent.

Cracking little drive!!
Have heard alot about NESO recently so thought I would give one a try and this is a great little unit, much smaller than most 3.5" units on the market, easy to install, works great, is very quiet and looks good....what more could I ask for HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
