Manufacturer's Description
It's here - HyperX DDR2 memory, the next-generation evolution of DDR memory technology. Like all Kingston HyperX products, HyperX DDR2 modules were specifically engineered and designed to meet the rigorous requirements of PC enthusiasts. HyperX DDR2 offers faster speeds, lower latencies, higher data bandwidths and lower power consumption.
Kingston's KHX6400D2K2/4G is a kit of two 256M x 64-bit 2GB (2048MB) DDR2-800 CL5 SDRAM (Synchronous DRAM) memory modules, based on sixteen 128M x 8-bit DDR2 FBGA components. Total kit capacity is 4GB (4096MB). Each module pair has been tested to run at DDR2 800MHz at latency timing of 5-5-5-15 at 1.85V. The SPD is programmed to JEDEC standard latency 667Mhz timing of 5-5-5-15 at 1.8V. Each 240-pin DIMM uses gold contact fingers and requires +1.8V.

Excellent
I bought 4x2GB of the Kingston KVR 800Mz HyperX DDR2 Memory
to install in my new mobo Gigabyte E7AUM-DS2H, Pentium Extreme3.73GHz,
nVidia 9500GT 1Gb GPU and 2 WD500GB Hard drives, Vista Ultimate 64Bit.
and the speed of this memory is superb, Its great for gaming. Kingston have a reputation that is second to none I would highly recommend the Kingston KVR 800MZ HyperX to any one
fast memory makes all the difference
I have a dual-core AMD and have always felt the performance was under par, having upgraded the memory to 4Gb fast 800Mz memory, I now know the reason! The original 2Gb memory was 566Mz and the difference has to be experienced to be believed. The system boots faster, loads programs faster and of course, with twice the memory, I'm able to keep multiple applications running without performance degradation. The Kingston has a high quality feel and installs in seconds, really simple.
In short, I upgraded the memory and avoided a CPU upgrade! Highly recommended.
Fast, Reliable and Cool
I run a small consultancy company and so don't have massive budgets to spend on hardware, however I find the need to run multiple servers while supporting my client work, so I went down the route of virtualisation, that is, I have 6-10 (typically) virtual machines running on the hardware of one machine. I don't use 'server grade' hardware, its more off the shelf, and I am concerned whether my components are up to spec for the pounding they are going to take under large loads.
With this kingston ram, I was initially pleased with the price and spec, and also the fact it had the heatsinks attached to keep the memory running cooler, as the machine is on 24x7. Fast delivery from Amazon as always, and once installed, instantly gave a new lease of life to the server. Now as I said, I was concerned with quality, and having used one pair for over 2 months non-stop, I find they stay pretty cool to the touch, even though my system is running several virtual operating systems at the same time. I am so happy with the build quality in fact, that I have just purchased another 2, so I now have an 8gig server that can run all virtual servers at the same time (as some have larger memory requirements than others), and I don't worry about leaving it on 24/7 with this memory.
No errors experienced, simple to install, and stays cool. Quality feel about them too.
