Not only is the piano action touch sensitive but this model features Yamaha's 'Graded Soft Touch' offering an authentic key action - heavier towards the bass end lighter towards the treble end. The DGX230 has improved content over the old model (DGX220) with extra new styles, 489 sounds and an increased Music Database. It can be connected via USB to PC allowing you to download data from Yamaha's internet Music Finder Service onto your PC then into the DGX230 Music Database (software included). Don't buy this from Amazon.
Firstly: this keyboard is amazing.
This keyboard has everything I wanted: a HUGE choice of songs, voices and backing tracks. It includes drum kit voices, random noises like cars, trains, screams and laughs etc as well as a whole load of tracks ranging from hip-hop to salsa.

The main thing that I like about it is how easy it is to use. There aren't a multitude of buttons and fancy dials; it's all fairly straight forward and for a technophobe like me, that's very important!
It also comes with a really good cd-rom with all the sheet music for the built in songs, which is very handy.

However, as amazing as this keyboard is, and as good as the price is on amazon, I would urge you NOT to buy it from here. Mainly because the description is wrong. The package does not include the adaptor or the USB cable.

And, because the amazon site becomes incredibly difficult to navigate when you need to report a problem with your order, it is insanely difficult to ask amazon for the bits you need. There is no obvious email address or phone number to call, so you'll most likely spend far more time that it's worth trying to get the things this site promised. If they treat you anything like they have me, they won't even acknowledge your emails and will not send the missing cables.

Basically, if you're looking for a good quality keyboard for a decent price, I'd recommend going for this one, but I'd also recommend paying a slightly higher price from somewhere else in order to avoid the unnecessary hassle of chasing amazon for the correct order.
