great for beginners
I have never used straighteners before and they were very easy to use with good results. Very fast to heat up (said on box 30 secs). Very pleased with them.
Beauty on a budget.
I brought these hair straighteners two years ago and I must say that they have served me well. They have never done anything bad like burn my hair or shoot out blue sparks as some naughty straighteners do and have survived almost two years of heavy usage and me abusing them, throwing them on the floor, leaving them switched on,etc!
My hair is quite straight naturally, just a little wavy in some places if your hair is like mine then they will do a lovely job. If you have thick, curly hair then I'm not sure that they will be as effective. It is also possible to curl your hair with these staighteners, I managed it but it is a skill to aquire (if you do it wrong, you get a square kink). They also heat up in under 5 minutes and the free heat proof mat is handy.
The only negative point that I have is that some of the ceramic coating has worn off, but honestly this hasn't effected their performance. They are not as good as GHD's but they only cost £20 what do you expect!? The only reason I don't use mine any more is because I have brought some GHD's and I feel vaguely guilty for abondonning these as they perormed so well!
If you are going to spend under £50 for a pair of straighteners you may as well get these, they do a fine job for such a low price.
