This is a really good book. Bought for 9-year-old son to help with organising thoughts, particularly to help with the 'chunks' of written work required for school. The book is very practical & easy-to-use so that a parent or even an older sibling can use it quite easily. I'd recommend photocopying the work-pages (approx 15 copies altogether) unless you're happy to fill the book up. We're just over half way through at the moment and he's really enjoying it, and has been fascinated to look at more examples of mind maps and how they work. It is absolutely not about handwriting (you can draw all the ideas if you like!), or spelling, just about enjoying your own creativity and learning to 'organise' it. I think all children of a wide age-range would benefit from learning this skill to help with schoolwork, homework, projects & exams.

I know you can buy software now to help map ideas out, however this is the low-cost use quickly & anywhere method!
