Poor Cash in DVD
This is a quite poor effort from Hansen.
I have no doubt Hansen is a brilliant poker player with lots of original thoughts but he does not reveal any of them on this DVD. He just repeats "mix up your play". OK that is very true but not enough for an entire video. Much better efforts are the DVD set by Ed Miller for Limit and the DVD set by Rolf Slotboom for No Limit. At the time of writing this review these are not available on Amazon hopefully this will change soon.

Worth a look...
This dvd has received harsh reviews elsewhere, as people have - rightly - expected great things from it.

Yes, Hansen is an excellent player and you do feel that you could have got more from this dvd but as Hansen himself says on the dvd `poker is not a game whereby you can just write down a formula and follow this to play well in all situations'. I got the sense that he was trying to impart his considerable knowledge but he was also aware that he was struggling to do this. Like all the greats, he knows how to win but not necessarily how to verbalise how he wins.

I think this dvd is decent and merits watching more than once. There is some good stuff on here if you can sift it out, understand it and apply it yourself. Anyway, once you have become a half decent player you are not going to learn a vast amount from any dvd; you are going to add to your knowledge by gleaming snippets of insight here and there.

The best way to learn how to play like Hansen is to watch him in action. And the guy can play...
