Customer Reviews
Top quality phone - probably best in the market
Sony Ericsson P910i. Well where do i begin. I recently purchased this phone from my local O2 store. I did weeks of research as £500 is not little money to spend on a phone. I used to have a D500, but then decided that it wasnt right for me, if your after a cool little phone, then its a good choice, but with me always wanting to show off, i had to have the best thing money could buy. Thats when i came accross the P910i. I was aware that their are other great phones out there such as the Nokia 9500, but that seemed a little inconveinent. The P910i was a phone that stood out from the crowd. It had everything a mobile phone could ask for and more. It had T9 predictive text, touch screen handwriting recognition, and if that wasnt enough, they even chucked in a qwerty keyboard. - ok i have heard people complain about the qwerty keyboard being too small but i find it to be well position and responsive. The touch screen is one of the best i have seen and experianced. It is very responsive, very clear even in direct sunlight and exceptionally good quality. A screen this good and large makes your 640x480 pictures look great on your phone. And with support of larger pictures on screen, the quality of 4 megapixals pictures transfered over is brilliant. The phone is of high build quality and designed to last. - I very unfortuntely dropped mine from a good height onto concrete and is still in full working order. The features on this phone is unbelievable. Fair enough, most of you out their will probably only use 20% of the features this phone has to offer. With support for files such as word, excel and even pdf readers, you can take your work and notes on your handheld device. This phone has full bluetooth, infrared and cable functionality. The bluetooth has never failed me on any device and can even be used to control my laptop from another room providing you purchase the right software. It comes with a cradle that is used to sync with your computer, files can be uploaded or downloaded from and to the P910i. Their is a decent internal memory storage of 64mb within the Sony Ericsson P910i but has the capability to accept 1GB! cards - although only 32mb is provided. Being symbian operated, the availability of software for the P910i is unreal. You can get almost anything for this phone, whether you want digital editing software for your pictures or whether you want full GPRS satalite navigation, it can all be purchased. The gaming quality on this phone is insane thanks to its huge screen and excellent audio quality. The phone has a built in mp3 player, and with memory card expansion, a fair amount of music can be carried around with you where ever you go. The mp3 files can also be used for any event on the phone to ringtones, alarms, messages, emails and many more. The mp3 player itself is of excellent quality even with the standard headphones provided. The sound quality is as good as on my ipod which is outstounding providing its only a phone. The quality of the videos on this phone is also no suprise. With a crystal clear 256 thousand colour screen, you can enjoy watching videos on your handset on the move. There is even the possibility of watching a whole compressed movie providing you have the space, although i do not have the memory card space required to comment on watching a full movie on the move. The P910i has to offer so much more than just being a phone or a PDA. Its more than that, it has the features a business man could not do without and the style that keeps a student such as myself unashamed to show off. The phone is not too big considering the facilities it has to offer. Think about how big a standard PDA and then compare that to the P910i and it wil make it look small. The weight of this device is not much different to the current phones on the market and will happily fit into your pocket. The stylus provided with the P910i is happily tucked away and the camera has many settings to take the perfect picture whatever the condition. I'm a very happy customer, and with a power hungry device, i'm quite happily charge it every 2 or 3 days considering the use of the phone and features. I understand that its a lot of money to spend on something you may like, i advise you to have a look at your friends or have a good look at it in store. You will not be dissapointed. People saying that its too slow just dont know what they are expecting from a mobile phone. They compare the speed to PDA's which are specially designed to be a PDA and have more ram and power to run applications quicker, but for a phone and a PDA, its really good. I highly recommend getting this phone because you will not be dissapointed. Everyone thats seen my phone has fell in love with it and just cant believe the stuff this thing can do - controlling your TV, DVD player, PC, HIFI system etc with this phone can be reality providing you have the software. I could write forever about this phone and what it can do, but i'm sure i have given you enough of an insight to make up own minds about the P910i
