Synopsis
This is the first ever cake book for Aga owners, all the lovely things cooks want to make but often find tricky to get right in the Aga. With 100 recipes for large cakes, cupcakes, buns, muffins and traybakes, ranging from the classic to the contemporary, this book is perfect for both the keen cake baker and the complete beginner. There are ideas for all occasions, or simply fast cakes for the busy person, and even recipes that children will enjoy making themselves.
About the Author
Lucy Young has a Cordon Bleu training and has worked with Mary Berry for 16 years, helping to produce Mary's recipe books and teaching at her very popular Aga workshops. She was the home economist on Mary Berry's two most recent television series. She is the author of Secrets from a Country Kitchen (2004).

Delicious!
This book is simple to follow and produces delectable results - even if baking is not your forte! A must for any cook's library.
A Mother's Dream
In an age where packet mixed cakes seem to be the norm, I was delighted to find a cook book that showed me in easy steps how to make a whole variety of cakes to suit every occasion. I look to this book for inspiration every time I host a morning or afternoon tea. Thank you to the author for providing such easy to follow and delicious recipes AGA or not.
Helped me make gorgeous cakes!
I LOVED this book! I am normally hopeless with cakes and get my friends to bring desserts, but this book by Lucy Young has changed that. She makes it simple for me by explaining every step. I particularly enjoyed the 'healthy' section, and the cooking with children chapter was easy to follow with some interesting and different ideas. I don't own an aga (I wish!) but the recipes translate easily to my electric oven.
