Customer Reviews
OK, but patronising beyond belief
I would imagine that there are equally informative books that don't confuse the readers' computer illiteracy with his or her being generally thick, as this book seems to. However, there is a wealth of knowledge, tips and fixes that are very useful - but I find I have to grit my teeth to open the pages. You may want to see some reviews on similar books before opting for this one. The only reason I gave it three stars is because of the tips - I'd been struggling to set up a wireless network at home and cracked it in a few minutes with the help of this book. I hate to admit it - but it is helpful.
Laptops for dummies
If you think this book is for dummies then think again!
I got this book out my local library and i thought i would know most of the information in the book but when i got it home and sat down to read it i was wrong because even though i own a laptop of my own which i work on all day i learnt a whole varaity of new things and it was a really good book to read with the odd jock in it or two.
