DVD Description
"Tell you what a great life would be, that would be one in which we could just ride bikes, cook food and talk b******s." ...So began Dave Myer's and Si King's quest for adventure and good food. Packing their unpretentious northern humour and enduring friendship on the back of two monster motor bikes, these amiable, leather-clad hairies road out to make the best travel-cum-cookery-cum-comedy show ever seen. Around the world - from Transylvania to Vietnam, from Namibia to Mexico - they make friends, emerse themselves in local culture and learn to cook regional delicacies, however daunting. From hairy rickshaw pedallers to hairy caravan-trainee Donna kebab merchants they'll try anything; from crocodile satay in Namibia, garlic-fried grass hoppers in Mexico to coconut worms in Vietnam. They'll taste anything, and from the Isle of Man TT to the Fairy Circles of Damaraland they'll party anywhere! Full of zest, warm-hearted humour and plenty of surprising, yet easily made at home recipes, this is a fabulous series about two men, their sense of fun and the only thing they love more than their beloved bikes - food !

Synopsis
Filmed in the vein of 'Two Fat Ladies', Dave Myers and Si King travel on their motorbikes across the world and learn to cook the culture dish of the region. They are not specially trained cooks, just two men who love food. Includes Irish Stew, Namibia zebra burgers, crocodile satay, the world's largest fried egg and Pork Samale in Transylvania.

Superb TV.5
The first time I saw these two guys was on the BBC. Sitting somewhere between Michael Palin and Fanny Craddock; I was instantly won-over by Si King and Dave Myers' down-to-earth, best-mate style. If there is one industry that is pretentious and inaccessible - that of TV chefs is up pretty high. Si and Dave have reinvented the genre with their approach - part cookery, part travel report and part stand-up routine. As far as I'm concerned, this DVD will play on until it breaks - Roll on the next release!

A great programme and good value for both seasons5
definitely worth a buy, my only minor gripe is that the pilot episode in Portugal does not appear to be included, but is mentioned in the first episode on the discs. Perhaps we'll get it when season 3 comes out?

Fun and a bit of cookery!5
If you like a good laugh, haven't been, or can't afford, to travel to other countries around the world and like to cook, or just eat, something a bit different, then this is for you.
This is not a lesson in how to cook, nor will you find the 'Nouvelle Cuisine' favoured by the pseuds who have more money than sense, (American comedian Jackie Mason said it was French for 'No Food')!
What you get here is a travelogue with a basic instruction on how popular local dishes are cooked and enjoyed.
Those of you who believe good food only comes in tiny portions on a large plate with artistic decoration will hate it. The majority of Brits will warm to Si and Dave..two non-manufactured TV personalities who just exude natural warmth, humour and enthusiasm for something that tastes great!
At the time of writing (April 2007), the third series is being shown on BBC2. Even better than the first two!. Sit back and enjoy a trip round he world with two mates and enjoy a bite to eat along the way!
