Real Chemistry for students
I agree with the positive points of A Farmer and temper the negative. I was using this book to teach a child at home and so having to work out the answers was quite a useful process for us both (most are readily found in the preceding teaching texts if you read it properly). Compared to the modern syllabi being taught at school, this is a much, much better course. Not having seen the Collins book I can't comment, but if you can do chemistry, this is a very good book to use.

Needs to include answers!
The book itself is very well written and clear. There are plenty of 'end of chapter' and 'end of section' questions - HOWEVER - there are no answers provided for any of these questions. Not only are there no answers included in the book - the answers are not available anywhere! Have contacted the publisher about this oversight and was met with a brick wall.

Therefore would recommend the Edexcel IGCSE books published by Collins.

frustrated. need answers
I am so frustrated. As a private candidate studying on my own really really could do with the answers to the questions in th ebook so I could self study with more confidence.
