A classy field guide
This is an update of a field guide that I have used for many years. It is now slimmer and lighter but has not lost any of it's detail. In fact there are many improvements including comparitive charts of difficult to distinguish species.
I love the illustrations and find them easier to use and compare than photographs. The distribution charts are clear and aid identification. We have all seen a bird outside it's normal range but this feaure is useful as a first step in identifying that unknown bird.
Highly recommended.
