A most enjoyable read
The author of this book obviously know his subject and has put it accross in an interesting and attention holding way. The book not only covers the main lines but also the miniature railways, industrial lines etc in the Fylde area. I read with great interest the authors hard hitting conclusion regarding the supposed benefits of rail privatisation in the U.K. versus the pre-privatisation British Rail. Overall, I found this to be a well written and presented book which despite the fact that it covers railways, which I was not previously interested in, held my interest throughout and I therefore have no hesitation in recommending it highly.
