Product Description

Get an eyeful of this. Startlingly reminiscent of Victorian parlour games and visual trickery, this truly is the doormat to end all doormats. Instantly reminding one of those drawings of an old man's head that you can turn upside down to reveal a beautiful lady, this is a double-sided greeting with a difference. For it reads differently depending on one's direction of travel. On entering the house, the doormat reads 'Come in'. Yet on leaving it appears to say 'Go away'. Which is mind-boggling enough in its own right. But for a truly discombobulating effect, you might consider turning the mat around to greet unwelcome guests - meter readers, door-to-door salesmen, political pollsters and the like - with an ever-so-polite rebuke. Calligraphically confused? Don't be. It's all just an ever-so-clever visual trick. In the testing lab here at gadgetshop HQ, we've all taken loads of long, hard looks at the graphic design and have heartily marvelled at its greatness. So while it's fair to say that those dashed clever chaps at Suck UK have done it again on the design front, it's the sturdy manufacture of this doormat using all-natural materials that will give it genuine longevity - not to mention real 'kerb appeal' (as we believe it's called). So as well as providing an eye-catching greeting, it's actually functionally efficacious when it comes to wiping one's boots and shoes. Marvellous.
