Editorial Reviews

David Sexton, Evening Standard
[Child] makes what he does seem simple. If it is, though, it's strange nobody else has managed it so well.

Maxim
Reacher fans will love it...taking justice into his own hands and to hell with the wos'name...a solid inter-Bond-film substitute.

Mirror
Classic Child...Reacher, both a man's man and a ladies' man, proves once again that he's also his own man.

Antoher good Reacher outing5
As far as thrillers go this was good, not brilliant but good. The characters were deep and enthralling, keeping your interest all the way through. There was enough suspense to keep you turning the pages, and plenty of action. If you enjoy Lee Child`s Jack Reacher books then this will please you. I`m a series fan and enjoy Child and Michael Connelly books immensely, if you like that kind of thriller read the `Soft Target` books by Conrad Jones. They are unputdownable!! Back to the review, ten out of ten.

WEAK2
I own all the Reacher books and have been a fan since the start.
This is easily the weakest outing for Lee Child and Reacher, i really had to force myself to care enough to finish it.
The paper thin plot left me wondering exactly what Reacher's motivation was to get involved at all. There wasn't a single character in the book who seemed very threatening or dangerous, therefore denying the reader any real tension or intrigue.
It has it's moments, but these are few and far between.
For top drawer Reacher action try the following:
Killing Floor, Die Trying, Tripwire, Persuader, The Enemy, Without Fail.

Nothing to Lose - Lee Child2
What a disappointment - this is really not up to the normal standards for Jack Reacher. Sure he is as tough as ever, taking on all comers with ease, but it is not an enthralling story in the same way that the majority of Lee Child's tales are of Jack Reacher's adventures. Hopefully the next one will be better as we really like 'Jack' and there is plenty of life in him yet!
