Product Description

FROM THE ICE. . .

A mammoth, flash frozen in solid ice 10,000 years ago is brought to the
surface by a team of scientists. An act of sabotage frees the giant from
its icy tomb and reveals the secret held inside.

OUT OF THE MAMMOTH. . .

The body of an ancient woman, cloaked in furs, slides out of the
mammoth's belly. But it is not the woman that holds the team's
attention...it is the object she is clutching...a device created by an
advanced civilization.

THE HUNT IS ON. . .

The device is accidentally activated, summoning forces who seek its
destruction. It is the key to mankind's salvation and freedom from the men
behind the curtain, pulling the strings and leading humanity towards
destruction.

Banal1
If you are under twelve or have a mind set of a twelve year old, then this is the book for you. It has been badly proof read and full of distracting errors, the story line is just too ridiculous and the synopsis presents this book as something far more interesting than it is. I gave it the benefit of the doubt as it was a rainy day and there was nothing else to do but when I finished it, I consigned it to the dustbin. Don't waste your money - even if it is in the 20p section of a charity shop unless you have a twleve year old!

What a let down3
Compared to his first book, this is a let down. The story is fair and a good theory is unravelled, but as a religious person, the ideas are wrong. Keep to what you are good at as the third book has done, with Fantastic effect!

FANTASTIC5
This book is by far the best I have ever read. I took it on holiday with me and ended up with sun-stroke because I was so enveloped by it. Looking forward to more great work from J. Robinson.

I cannot believe how negetive some of the reviews on this book have been. Yes the typo's in the book can be a little anoying but lets face it this should not change the review of the book. This book was edited by a company and not the author. This book is a great piece of sci-fi reading and really gets you thinking. It's not a Steven King book but that's whoat is so great about it. Jeremy dives straight into the action and wastes no time on endlessly describing useless character points. I don't care if a character had black hair or why he had a scar on his knee from falling off of his bike when young.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a very accurate 'what if' scenario. To put it straight is a good bit of lite reading.

5+ stars.
