For many centuries the shelves of a library in South America held a terrible secret. Sitting on these shelves was a book with no name, written by an anonymous author. Everyone who ever read it ended up dead, yet the book always found it's way back to the library. In 2005 a special government investigator uncovered the truth about the book and it's link to the murders. Now available in paperback, you can discover for yourself the reason why no one ever read the book and lived, until now.....

"This particular Anonymous has decided to take a fistful of drugs and gone
on a literary genre-bender... punchy and witty... reading this mad book
feels like riding one of those bikes with square wheels... a slightly
strange experience but a lot of fun"
Zoo Magazine, July 07
"Possibly drug-induced lunacy of a book" - 4 stars

Customer Reviews
Amazing!
I've never reviewed a book before, but after finishing The Book With No Name, I was at once both eager to do so, and yet deeply saddened that the story had come to an end.
This book may possibly be the best book I've read in a long time, and I can't praise it highly enough! There are so many twists and turns, revelations and cliffhangers that it keeps you gripped from beginning to end.
The characters are so diverse and intriguing, and the author knows exactly what will keep the reader reading. I didn't want to put it down [and in fact didn't; from the minute I got it home, it took almost 8 hours and I was sadly finished]
This is one of those books that you know you'll remember, and as much as I really want to pick it up and read it again, I don't want to spoil the experience of the first reading.
I absolutely recommend this to anyone who's a little bored with contemporary fiction and wants something that will grab them and pull them into another world, if just for a little while.
The Book With No Originality
I did enjoy this book because it was a very easy straight-forward read. That's just about where my praise ends for it and why I gave it two stars instead of one. The thing about this book is that is borrows virtually everything from movies. From characters to shoot outs to plot. The first comparison I spotted was a complete rip off of the movie 'Desperado'. I'll let you spot the rest. This book is NOT original.
Stunning
This book is absolutely genius. i was completely hooked from the first page, and found it original, fast paced, a page turner and above all highly entertaining. It completely frustrates how some of the reviews give comments of 'this has no character development' or 'its just tarrantino,' or 'its so predictable.' firstly, if you pick up a book with a title like this and with an anon author, don't expect a grisham epic, or Patterson style thriller. the synopsis is enough to tease you into seeing what type of story and fun this book is. those who slate, would never buy a book like this, which leads me to the point, why did they bother reading it! There is several nods and a few montage moments to various films here, but that is a GOOD thing. Musicians do it, so why not authors? the author is obviously a huge fan of film, and its a great talent to nod to his choice of film but still stick to his story. This book is bloody good fun, very addictive and i can't wat to see it on the screen - and to read the authors follow up. Well done.
