Not bad, a few niggles but a good bargain buy4
As stated by the maker, this is a successor to D-Day and Desert Rats and follows the usual formula. This series of games is not as well thought of as Panzers and although both may now seem outdated with the likes of Company of Heroes around, for a couple of quid it is well worth a few hours. The graphics are excellent (maybe better than Panzers) and the missions are mostly well balanced. The niggles are dodgy pathfinding, which is solved by careful management of the units and the fact that a sniper can take down an entire camp of enemies while they just stand there like ducks at a shooting gallery.
The main disadvantage for me is that it does not appear to be possible to select units for a mission, you just have to use what you are given although reinforcements often appear. This is a shame as it reduces the re-playability somewhat but at least it is more realistic than base building and upgrades 'research'. I understand that working in games like Warcraft but not in WWII...
All said, worth a couple of quid from the bargan bin.
