Synopsis
After their hit THE EYE was remade by others, this time the Pang Brothers take the wheel as they revisit their first film together. In BANGKOK DANGEROUS, Nicolas Cage (NATIONAL TREASURE, LORD OF WAR) stars as Joe, a hit man who goes to Thailand on a mission. The beauty of both the city and one of its residents distracts Joe, and he begins to take a young man under his wing, but his boss won't let the original goal be forgotten.

Poor Blue ray Disc2
This is by far the worse Blue ray dics I own to date. Im watching in 1080p through a Sony Bravia KDL 52 W 4500 - LCD TV with onkyo amp, kef speakers etc and it looks poor. It looks like a standard dvd on the whole. The dark Knight, wanted, apocalypto to name just a few, these are what Blue ray quality is about, not this. Really disappointed . If this was the first Blue ray film I would of bought I would have not known what the fuss was about.
Film was pretty good though.

Entertaining, impressive on blu ray3
First of all if you have seen the original, you wont be disappointed with the remake. Its pretty true to the original and this version has the same directors. Cage is at his best with this non disney action film, which reminds audiences of his past glory like The Rock or Face off. On blu ray the picture and sound is truely amazing and one of the best ive seen. I own about 15 blu rays now and only a few are truely worth the extra money in terms of picture quality.

The film didn't score higher because there is hardly any extra features and I still think the film lets itself down about 3/4 in and ends poorly. Nevertheless if you want an action packed film set in bangkok (cant think of many films where thats the case), with cage back to what he does best, you cant go far wrong as long as you are not expecting too much.
