Last Orders is the debut album from the band of the same name who first met and started playing together when they were members of Kathryn Tickell’s 17 piece youth folk band, Folkestra. They decided to make the four piece line-up a regular group, adopting the name Last Orders. All had taken part in BBC Radio 2's Young Folk Awards, either individually (Melodeon player, Joe O'Connor was a finalist in 2006 and stunned everyone with his virtuosity), or in other groupings, so the natural progression was to enter together as Last Orders, and they duly won the 2007 Award.
The album has been well-received, with Songlines magazine making it one of their 'Top of the World' albums in December 2007.
