Wonderful Insight
I've been a fan of Adrian Tomine for some time now and love his wonderful way of capturing the smallest, most insignificant moments in life so beautifully.
This book contains many old and early strips, all with a similar theme of first loves, awkward crushes, vinyl collecting obsessives and the like. In addition to this, we also get to see a whole load of Tomines 'corporate' work (eurgh, thats probably the wrong word for it) - CD covers, posters, advert, magazine work and a small section at the back with funny pieces from his actual sketchbook.
A perfect book for fans of underground comics, people who fall in love in a bookshop, make ill advised mixtapes, trawl through racks of vinyl and love The Pixies. Go buy it now.
