    Excellent5
I bought this DVD player so I could watch DVD's with non-Region 2 encoding, and I was so pleased with its performance that I bought another one for upstairs! I've had absolutely no trouble with this player, and it is incredibly user-friendly. It plays Region 2 DVD's perfectly, as well as other regions. I bought some DVDs from the USA shortly after buying this player, and they have all worked brilliantly, even though one said it was very unlikely that it would work on multi-region DVD players. I would recommend this DVD player to anyone who wishes to watch DVD's from any region. Great value for money.

    Excellant DVD player5
I bought this DVD player to replace a cheap and nasty one I bought a while ago and I couldn't be happier! It was very easy to set up and came with a set of RCA leads for audio/video, personally though I would have preferred a scart lead.

When it's turned on the player takes a little while to start up and the scanning when fast forwarding/rewinding isn't exactly smooth, but they're the only bad points! The picture is extremely clear and the sound is excellent as well. The AV enhancer option is a great function. The pictures contrast/brightness is altered depending on what you're watching and the sound is given a touch of reverb. The menu is very easy to work through and the different settings are all in logical places.

When the player is running it is very quiet and skipping ahead to the next chapter is practically instant. The player will accept picture discs so long as the format is JPEG and the pictures come out as clear as the films. The 5.1 out is CO-AXIAL or there's the analogue stereo outputs for connecting to an ordinary audio amplifier, as well as Scart and video connection.

This player is well worth the money and I don't think you would ever need anything better than this. It's easy to use, good clear picture and sound, fast searching and all round excellent value!

    Brilliant player!5
This is not the cheapest DVD player you can buy, by any means. However, after using one for several weeks, I'd say this model is very well designed and engineered. Compared with some others, the simple menu system is a pleasant change, and makes setting up the player straightforward. No problems with playback either - smoother transitions than on the Sony player I bought a year ago, with very good picture quality and sound too. While not strictly a reason for buying, I also like the way the player displays "HELLO" when you switch on, and the way the display fades when you go to Standby mode - elegant. All in all a very good value machine.
