Customer Reviews

Ask, ask, ask!4
The oft-repeated theme of this book is that you have to ask before you get.
The book starts by looking at the barriers to asking; fear, programming, low self-esteem, pride. The examples are backed up by contributions from different people's perspectives, some of which I identify with.

Then it moves on to the benefits of asking, with examples of how others have enriched their lives.

Finally covers how to ask, who to ask and what to wish for.
My only criticism is that the editing could have been a lot tighter; the point is a little laboured by the end of the book.

Taught me a thing or two about the power of asking5
This book was recommended to me when I was feeling in a spiral downward. I was in month 5 of being in business for the first time and my initial enthusiasm was waning fast.

My first few clients had already finished working with me, I was feeling more and more desperate as I couldn't find any new clients to work with me and I was "stalking" the few prospects I had rather than building relationships.

This book came at the right time for me and made me realise there were far easier ways (and more fun ways!) of asking for the business.

American motivation writing at its best, but still a great read made up of hundreds of little anecdotes and small stories which makes it an easy book to pick up and refer to over and over again. I would recommend this for anyone's business book shelf whether they run their own business or work within an organisation.

The audio in no way compared to the book3
I bought the book version of The Alladin Factor some 3 years ago and it was absolutely wonderful. I manifested some wonderful things from it - however I forgot the basic steps and bought the tape version, hoping to refresh my memory while using it in the car. I was disappointed as the tape version does explain much of value and is too abridged. To me, personally, it outlines and highlights the "wrong" (for use of a word) areas in the book. Having a unabridged version would be more beneficial.

Now I'm more careful when I'm buying audio tapes, ie I'll look for the unabridged version instead of abridged to save any further disappointments.

But buy the book, it's absolutely great!
