About the Author
Polly and Suzy Hitching are sisters who grew up in a large family in the suburbs of London. They went to school and the Royal College of Music together. Suzy is an actor who has worked extensively in theatre, and has appeared in INSPECTOR MORSE as a headless body. Polly is the administrator for the Society of London Theatres' Laurence Olivier Awards. Polly is married to an actor and has two children, Ella (5) and Jojo (2). Suzy is married to a photographer and has a boy, Elmo (18 months).

Great for the holidays!
There are some great ideas in this book that will keep the kids entertained throughout the summer holidays. Be careful with some of the more adventurous games, though! Despite having earned the respect of his peers, Horace's victory in 'Knock the Policeman's Helmet off' also earned him an ASBO.

Complete Life-Saver!
Such a great book- full of inspiring ideas of how to have fun with your kids. New games, old games, games you vaguely remember from your own distant childhood and brilliant activites. Illustrations are lovely. With luck, you'll never hear the words "I'm bored!" again!

This is an absolutely fantastic book and I would recommend it to any parent or anyone that ever has to spend time with children! The book is very well written, and you quickly get into the spirit of things as the book reminds you of your own childhood and provides ideas for all sorts of imaginative games. For most of the games and activities described you won't need any equipement or materials. Things from around the house spark ideas for games, or materials you might find walking through the woods or along a beach, suddendly hold new meanings as objects of fun! You will never have an akward silence again when kids ask, "what game shall we play?"
