Synopsis
Coaching is an American phenomenon rapidly gaining popularity in the UK and around the world. A personal coach is the latest type of adviser who will work with their client over the telephone after an initial face-to-face session to help their client sort out personal and professional problems. This text is based on the author's simple techniques for helping her clients reassess their lives, redefine success, set new goals, overcome problems and challenges, change lifelong habits, build confidence and self-esteem and live the life they really want to lead. Using targeted questionnaires, checklists, action plans and inspiring case histories, she helps the reader to devise his/her own personal life programme and achieve what he/she wants to.

Customer Reviews

Hopeless1
I managed to read this featherweight effort in 40 minutes. It is fairly charmless, and incredibly light on substance or insight.

The author is also given to irrelevant deviations into self-congratulation. "I don't negotiate on my fees, no, not me!" "Several of my clients are millionaires. Yes, really."

I have thrown this book out. It seemed unfair to pass it on and pointless to keep it.

7 years later...2
I have bought this book nearly 7 years ago and I have started reading it at least 3 times. but I am always back to the same problem: there is far too much to read for each day to make it effective and time efficient. I found absolutely nothing new in this book and to tell the truth i have much prefered "change your life in 30 days" which encourage you more to think and reflect.
I am easily put off by filling forms an I did not like being told that I would need a ring binder, scissors, colouring pencils etc to read the book : I was on the ferry between Dover and Calais and off course had none of these with me the first time i read it.
Then again, my problem with this book is that i found it absolutely impossible to commit to it, not in 2001, not in 2003, not in 2006 and still not in 2008. Eileen Mulligan is NOT a motivating author.

Don't look back - move forward5
This book is for all those people out there who are sick of keep going over the past and who want to move foward and look to the future.
