About the Author
Joanna Losack dreamed of owning a house in the mountains, so
that she and her two children could have fun 'getting back
to nature' and experiencing a slower pace of life.
She discovered Bulgaria and after a year of researching
property on the internet, experienced the 'adventure of a
lifetime' with her two young boys on their first visit to
the Borovets region.
Driving round the rural villages, exploring the countryside,
and tracking down properties with the help of local estate
agents and the local people, she was captivated by the
Bulgarian welcome.
She returned to the UK having bought her mountain house for
just £3,500 ("borrowing" £1500 from her sons) which doubled
in value over 4 months. Joanna has now built up a portfolio
of properties to rent out, so that others too, may
experience the stunning scenery, clean fresh air, delicious
food and warm welcome from the local Bulgarians.
Jo's articles on Bulgaria have been published in property
magazines and guides both in the UK and abroad.
Customer Reviews
Not Worth the Money
In terms of content, this book has very little to offer. She does nothing more than reveal the shallow purchasing facts, which potential buyers can easily obtain from UK Bulgarian Property Websites or Exhibitions.
Poor & Expensive
For the price you would expect something of substance. This is basically a pamphlet with no more information than one can get from the internet, finished off with a list of common sense bullet points.
Very, very poor.
You must be joking!
I bought and reviewed this book a year ago and, out of interest, have just returned to the page to see how it is faring. I honestly can't believe that punters are still giving it 4 or 5 stars. It's the greatest load of rubbish that I've ever read and it was quickly disposed of at the nearest boot sale. I've successfully bought in Bulgaria but can honestly say that this book provided zero to the process.
