Easy to read and understand
I thoroughly enjoyed this book,so much so I read it on holiday instead of the usual fiction I normally read. It was very easy reading with lots of real life( and very recognisable ) situations to re-enforce the subject matter. I have found the practical suggestions very useful for helping my 2 children (9 and 11yrs)overcome and better understand their and other childrens behaviour in certain circumstances. I am regularly dipping back into it as it takes practise to ask the right questions.I thoroughly recommend you read this book.

Great ideas - easy to read
This is a great book - full of practical advice and easy to read. I read it through once and had lots of ah-ha moments when I realised how I could be working differently with the kids. Then actually had a go - so easy to follow.

What every childcarer/parent needs!
"Flying Start" has been my bedside companion for the past few months, I regularly flick through it to remind myself of all the practical tips Emma has given us. I have used the book on a daily basis not only with my own children but to help the parents who bring their children to my nursery. My staff team have been putting into practise the different strategies and have been amazed at the results. It is a usable book which can cause a lot of excitement because of the changes that occur from doing simple things that Emma has explained so wonderfully! Thank you so much!
