Kneed a good knee pain book?
A knee pain book that covers a lot of topics, some of which include anatomy, surgery, diagnosis, women's knees, and exercises in the back of the book. Good for general information. Another book to check into is "Treat Your Own Knees"- fun to read and literally a simple do-it-yourself knee rehab program for people of all functional levels.
An excellent overview of knee injuries and their treatment
Having recently undergone surgery to reconstruct my anterior cruciate and lateral collateral ligaments, I was looking for a book which would give me an overview of the knee's mechanics, injuries and their treatment. This book is it. The text is straightforward and easy to read, the diagrams are clear and concise and the book covers everything from how the knee works and its injuries (including what your doctor should be doing to achieve an accurate diagnosis) to rehabilitation including recommended exercises. I thoroughly recommend this book to anybody who has suffered an injury to their knee and would like to learn more about their ailment. I showed the book to my surgeon and physiotherapist and they both eagerly copied down the book's details.
Excellent Book, Great Information.
Dr. Scott's Knee Book was a great source of valuable information to me after having an ACL Reconstruction. This book is a must have for anyone who has recently undergone a knee operation or is in the process of doing so. In easy to understand language this book really helps you understand the mechanics of the knee and how to prevent serious injuries. It also includes great rehabilitation information for the person coming back from a knee injury. I can't say enough about this book.
