Customer Reviews

Very helpful5
It does what it says on the tin - it is an all-encompassing guide to training for rugby.
The drills provided are geared towards players who want to take their training seriously - and when put to use are very effective. The book provides information on what to do in the off-season and pre-season, and gives a range of fitness and strength tests for coaches. It also gives a variety of fitness programs and how to tailor one to oneself. I could go on and on about the features of the book - from mental preparation, to when to have an ice-bath and the perfect warm-up.
The book's key attraction is the obvious love of the sport by the writers. The book is not simply a fitness book - every drill and every paragraph of advice written is specifically geared towards improving your rugby. This is essential reading for any player or coach who wants to improve performance.
