Product Description

At the heart of the book is a complete, illustrated, six- month course for explosive growth. Exercise by exercise, workout by workout, the reader is shown precisely what to do, and perhaps even more important, what not to do. Dr. Darden also shows why HIT, when pursued steroid-free, is the best way to safely build muscle. Finally, the exercise religion Arthur Jones founded, and Dr. Darden fine-tuned, has its bible.

Synopsis
For many dedicated bodybuilders, the weight-lifting theories of Arthur Jones are gospel. It was Jones, the inventor of Nautilus exercise equipment, who first discovered that short, intense workouts could produce better results than the long, high-volume workouts then in vogue. Even though research into Jones's methods has proved them correct, there still are no major HIT books in stores. This new book-by champion bodybuilder, exercise researcher, and best selling author Ellington Darden, Ph.D., who is a Jones disciple and friend-shows lifters how to apply the master's teachings, along with some new HIT concepts to achieve extraordinary results.

Customer Reviews

Not really worth the price... 2
I bought this book as I use the HIT method as a part of my training and thought this book might have some insight or tips to help me further my training goals. However the book turned out to be quite disappointing, it had no real insights except to say "use this system because a veritable god "created" it"... This book is guilty of doing what the authors says other systems do, namely proclaiming that this is the best system but others are rubbish. It misses the point by a wide margin, using what works in the key, instead of an instruction manual explaining how to use the HIT system this book is mainly composed of anecdotes and proclamations about how wonderful this system is. Oh and it has a few exercises thrown in too. Best spend your money on a more complete book if you are seeking instruction in weightlifting and bodybuilding.

it worked for me5
i bought this book after it being recomended to me, i gave the workouts a try an found it really gave me a boost for training.

it was informative an easy to understand. the author was clear in his instuctions and i picked up more tips from this one book than in 3 years of training in gyms an countless fitness magazines

Read the whole thing!!!!5
It's amazing how so many people are so easily offended and simplistic in nature. Those that cannot even handle anything past a straight line approach to life. This book will wake you up violently if you have been conventional for the whole time and wonder why you dont make fast progress.......

But if you wanna stay where you are then carry on as you are doing. This book is a 5 star book. The world is merely 6.5 billion view points that clash. ignore bad ratings on this one. some people just cant handle the truth and the bad points focussed on in bad reviews on this title bear no significance to the point of the book.
