Geldof at his Best
After listening to this CD it brought back memories of Bod Geldof and the Boomtown Rats when they were constantly in the charts.

It contains all the Boomtown Rats classics from Banana Republic, Rat Trap, Like Clockwork to the probably best known track I Don't Like Mondays. It was well worth the money and a very enjoyable listen. A must for all Bob Geldof and the Boomtown Rats fans.

Awful name, great album
I went to see Bob Geldof play in Vicar St on his recent Irish tour and enjoyed it so much that I had to rush out and buy this CD. He played 4 of the Rats songs on the night and they are on this CD - Monday, Rat Trap, Mary and Bananna Republic. They are great songs and the live performance crackled with energy. Those songs and all the other Rats songs on this compilation still sound great and the lyrics are still cutting. One of my favorite albums of the 90's - The Vegetarians of Love (which is sadly very hard to buy on CD) is also well represented with tracks on Loudmouth. All in all a great buy at the Amazon price.

1970s & 80s nostalgia - still good today
I was in my teens when the Boomtown Rats first hit the charts. Now when I put the radio on, I listen exclusively to Radio 4, but I still like the loud, up-tempo music of my younger days. My favourites - She's so modern, Like clockwork, Rat trap, and I don't like Mondays - are all on there; plus some that I had never heard before, including a very Irish jig!
