What a marvellous little book this is. Manages to capture the spirit and feel of design in the 20th century concisely and descriptively, and incorporating good quality images. This is a worthy addition to the bookcase as a quick reference guide to the diversity and richness of innovative design throughout the 20th century.
a beautifully laid out book, needs more theatre examples.
A wonderfull book, but lacks many areas of design. would like to see fewer cliches from the design museum, and more "real" design from the real world. including the world of show & shop design, Where is the work of Din,Kelly,Savage,Garrett, Casson,Molloy,& Coates? for example?
This is the best design Book Ive found
This book is the most helpful book Ive found, this got me through my GCSE, Alevels and now my degree. I brought it for my dad when it 1st came out, it is the most read book in our house, and now ive left home im having to buy it for myself. Not only is it a good resource book, its really intresting too. The Information isnt big blokes of text, small sections that you can read any time you have a few mins.
