An excellent covers album
Bonnie has recorded plenty of covers in her career but this is her first album devoted exclusively to them. It comprises covers of songs that became UK hits for Bruce Springsteen (Human touch), REM (Everybody hurts), Lonestar (Amazed), Phil Collins (Against all odds take a look at me now), Jennifer Holliday (And I'm telling you I'm not going), Bill Withers (Lean on me - this song later became a bigger UK hit for Mud), Tom Petty (Learning to fly), Richard Marx (Right here waiting), U2 (I still haven't found what I'm looking for), Bonnie Raitt (I can't make you love me), Fleetwood Mac (Need your love so bad) and Roy Orbison (It's over) as well as a Beatles song (In my life) that wasn't released as a UK single. Many of these songs were American hits for the same artists and in some cases they were much bigger hits in America than in Britain.

Recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra as well as several rock musicians, this album is nevertheless fairly mellow for the most part. If anybody was worried that Bonnie was giving up on recording original material, they needn't have worried. Bonnie has returned to recording mainly original material on subsequent albums. Meanwhile, enjoy this album of covers of songs that particulary suits Bonnie's voice and style.

Bonnie Tyler - Heart Strings
I recieved my copy of Bonnie Tyler's "Heart Strings" CD today and what an album it is. 13 wonderful tracks by the wonderful welsh woman, all performed with the voice they deverse. This disc is living proof that Bonnie is by far the best female rock singer ever to be discovered.
Please buy this album if your a fan, it really is a treat to listen to and an album that hasen't been out of my CD player for the past few hours, i'm currently listening to it now and LOVE IT. "Heart Strings" really is a masterpiece of fantastic covers, bravo Bonnie!!!
Can't wait for her next album.

Heartstrings
This album is without doubt, Bonnie Tyler's best for many years.
The superb combination of the Prague Philharmonic and her excellent Band is a masterstroke of production.
All of the songs are very strong and are said to be Bonnie's personal favourites which shows in the delivery.
The guitar work on all tracks is of the highest standard,with the "Blues" feel of track 12, "Need your love so bad" befitting of the Co-producer/Lead guitarist.This album will surely be regarded as her finest and very difficult to surpass.
