You can select the 'screwdriving'/'drilling'/'impact drilling' modes by turning a setting ring. There are 5 torque settings available for screwdriving. When the machine reaches the set value, it automatically stops the screwdriving process

Poor quality
Two years down the line and it has shaken itself apart - the magnets in the motor have simply come away from the body and have jammed it solid. I have an 18 year old Bosch mains drill which is still going strong - they don't make em like they used to!

Bosch drill failure
I too have experienced exactly the same failure - the magnet coming loose jamming the motor. However, mine has had 4 years of punishment and abuse. Not what a tool should have to suffer, but there you go. I'm now looking for another one. I wouldn't have anything else. If I can get the double battery offer for a good price, I'll be ordering it.

Good drill - shame about the motor.
A versatile drill with loads of torque and a good battery, but heavy to use. Main problem is after 2.5 years the motor packed up. Post mortem indicates that a magnet came loose and jammed it up. Not really good enough.
