About the Author
Joanna Losack dreamed of owning a house in the mountains, so
that she and her two children could have fun 'getting back
to nature' and experiencing a slower pace of life.

She discovered Bulgaria and after a year of researching
property on the internet, experienced the 'adventure of a
lifetime' with her two young boys on their first visit to
the Borovets region.

Driving round the rural villages, exploring the countryside,
and tracking down properties with the help of local estate
agents and the local people, she was captivated by the
Bulgarian welcome.

She returned to the UK having bought her mountain house for
just £3,500 ("borrowing" £1500 from her sons) which doubled
in value over 4 months. Joanna has now built up a portfolio
of properties to rent out, so that others too, may
experience the stunning scenery, clean fresh air, delicious
food and warm welcome from the local Bulgarians.

Jo's articles on Bulgaria have been published in property
magazines and guides both in the UK and abroad.

Waste of Money
30-odd pages of repetition! I must have read three or four times that I can buy a Renault Clio for 4,000 pounds! All for 12.00 pounds and I even spent another 7.00 pounds for postage (tut, tut, Amazon!!) hoping to get the latest info on this fast developing country. What a disappointment! Many of her comments are applicable to any overseas property search and many are common sense. I don't apologise to Ms Losack for this review as, even with her remarkable doubling of property investment in 4 months, I think she is just cashing in on the rush for information. Very poor, very disappointing. Don't waste your money, try the internet for much of the same facts.

a good starting point for the nervous investor !
I liked this book for its simplicity and fun style. As a first time investor abroad I was very apprehensive, I don't have lots of money but wanted to do something - this book made me realise I could. I've now actually been out to Bulgaria & seen for myself, I've also made contact with one of the Estate Agents recommended. So, if your looking for a book to 'hold your hand' in the early stages, go for this !!

Poor & Expensive
For the price you would expect something of substance. This is basically a pamphlet with no more information than one can get from the internet, finished off with a list of common sense bullet points.
Very, very poor.
