By far the best toothbrush I've used.
I purchased the sonic complete deluxe after my previous Oral-B electric toothbrush broke in transit from my holiday. The travel case supplied with this toothbrush should prevent this from happening in the future. I didnt expect there to be much of a difference between the standard model and the sonic model; but there most certainly is. For a start the speed difference is amazing. My teeth feel cleaner than ever, and I've been using an electric toothbrush for years. The storage compartment for the toothbrush heads is an excellent idea (not supplied with my previous version), and the massage and soft modes are excellent for gums and tongue. My whole mouth feels fresher. And whereas my 5 yr old daughter wouldn't use my previous electric toothbrush - I think she'd clean her teeth 10 times a day with this one given half a chance - she loves it. Altogether, in my opinion, the sonic versions are far superior and worth every penny. If your thinking of buying a new electric toothbrush - go for the sonic version (and when the heads need replacing - use the old ones to get limescale off your taps!!!)

Great Brush
This is my 3rd Braun toothbrush, and it is by far the best. I considered buying one of the 8000 series non sonic brushes, but I'm glad I went for this one. There were no reviews for the products on amazon UK, but there were plenty on the US site which gave me some idea of which product to buy.

My teeth feel smooth, and look shiny after cleaning, and the massage mode is great on the gums. I still have my upper wisdom teeth, and this brush has a great head that gets right to them (None of my earlier round headed models ever managed this to my satisfaction).

I also have a stain that steadily builds up on my lower front teeth, this brush has been steadily removing that stain in the 3 weeks since I have bought this product.

The amazon review states that this brush is shipped with 2 spare heads, essentially there are 3 heads in the package.

All in all I'm very satisfied.

Far better than a standard electric toothbrush
From direct comparison with our standard Braun eletric toothbrush, this Sonic version definitely cleans your teeth better, to the point where I don't usually need to floss.

Using it is quite strange because of the tingle, which means the first few times you're not quite sure whether you've cleaned everything. However, after a few goes you get used to it.

'Clean' is the default mode, and does what it says.

'Soft' mode is a gentler vibration, and is good for kids because the 'Clean' is quite a strong vibration, and may take a little getting used to. They can move up to 'Clean' when they're used to the tingle. Same goes for adults of course.

'Massage' is a pulsating mode, which I haven't bothered using. A sales gimmick I suspect, but it doesn't detract from the other features.

The timer runs in 30 second bursts with a short stop/start to tell you to move to the next quarter of your mouth, with a longer stop/start at the 2 minute mark, by which time you're desperately trying not to dribble everywhere :-)

The size, holder, and recharger are very similar to the standard Braun.

Regarding the lack of battery warning (see other reviews), I agree it would be useful, but doesn't spoil the toothbrush. Braun recommends leaving the toothbrush plugged in permanently.

Ours came from Amazon with 3 brushes. Not sure if that's normal but its another small saving.

Highly recommended.
