Where can I find the type/model number?

For the majority of the Braun products the model name or number is placed well visible on the housing. For some of them the model name/number will only be present on the packaging and instruction manual and not on the product itself. Should this information ever get misplaced, a four digit type number, which is imprinted on all Braun products, can be used to determine the appropriate part(s) for your product.

The type or model number can usually be found in the following places on a Braun Shaver: On the back of the shaver, on the shaver housing under the cutterblock or under the long-hair trimmer.

Braun Replacement Cutter 428
The replacement cutters are normally fine hence the rating, but obviously the various departments of Amazon don't talk to each other. I returned the cutters to Amazon because they were damaged in transit. The replacement cutters arrived in an unprotected, unreinforced cardboard sleeve. As a consequence they were flattened during transit and therefore completely unusable. I returned them to Amazon the next day and got a complete refund. Unfortunately I couldn't shave with a refund and had to go elsewhere for a replacement in case the same packing method was used by Amazon on a replacement order.

Crushed by poor packaging
Exactly same problem as experienced by other reviewer - poor packaging by AMAZON resulting in damaged item on two seperate occasions despite problem being drawn to their attention after first time.

Very disappointed with AMAZONS inability to modify their procedures as necessary and thus fall below their usual, but not always, high service standards.

Subsequent order with another seller suitably packed and satisfactory.

Poorly packaged...twice !
Item received in first instance insufficiently packaged and was crushed, fragile item. Replacement ordered and I advised to pack more sensibly to suit goods in transit...received in same packaging type, in same crushed condition ! Supplier advised me cancel order whilst they checked their end. Ordered elsewhere independently and goods rec. next day intact.

Moral of the story "order from the professionals used to despatching fragile goods" !
