Great resource - Buy it!
This is great resource, for what is a busy time of year for anyone involved in preparing worship material. After all, everyone knows the story, don't they?!
Yet John Bell in thsi collection has produced a variety of great meditaions, dramas, responsive readings that will challenge, provoke, inspire people to come to the Christmas event in a new way...
A "must-have" for anyone's collection of resources, I certainly aim to be using this Christmas. Thank you John & the Iona Community!
A Really Useful Resource
This book proved an invaluable source for ideas when planning our Christmas contemplative service last year. It contains many thoughtful, often funny, readings, drama, meditations, responses and other 'fillers' for use in Advent and Christmas worship. Unfortunately, I didn't come accross this book until mid-December so only had limited usage. I intend to use it for service planning throughout Advent this coming year, as it covers all the themes throughout Advent pretty comprehensively.
