A great album to relax to during the summer
Lazy Afternoon is one of Streisand's greatest albums and the title song itself is one of my many favourites. "Lazy Afternoon" is so gentle and peaceful that I can easily listen to it on a cool summer's day. Other stand out tracks include the touching "My Father's Song," the discotheque "Shake Me, Wake Me," the jazzy "Moanin' Low" and the climatic "Widescreen" which is fantastic. The album is worth listening to because Streisand doesn't so much as show-off in a dramatic and dynamic way, she takes it easy and flows magnificently with the music, with which the great Rupert Holmes collaborated with her on this album. Highly recommended - even just to prove that the versatile Streisand can be excellent in every move she makes.
