Customer Reviews
Get 'In Sides' or 'Orbital 2' (brown) instead first.
Anyone who says this is Orbital's best CD is wrong and should refrain from commenting on music. Too many silly (vocal/sound bite) samples which devalue the tracks and make them tiresome and dated. The track styles are also very eclectic, great albums have a similar theme throughout, this album is all over the place.
'Are We Here?' and 'Kein Trink Wasser' are good tracks however, and 'Attached' is a masterpiece by anyone's standards, and as good as 'The Box' and 'Out There Somewhere? Pt.2'. Those last 2 tracks I mentioned are on 'In Sides', which does have a style which runs throughout the album, and no silly vocals, singing or soundbites, so get that album way before this. 'In Sides' also doesn't contain 'filler' tracks.
'Snivilisation' IS better than ALL of Orbital's terrible albums after 'In Sides' and IS an essential purchase for 'Attached' alone. But, it's not any better than their first album, weak compared to 'Orbital 2', and a disgrace compared to 'In Sides'.
P.S. The playlist order here at Amazon is incorrect.

kien trink wasser
and philosophy by numbers
it just absorbs you in to the music
Orbital most finely honed
This has to be Orbitals best work they ever created, it's darker, deeper and more mesmorising than any of their other cds. Yes it might not be as lush as some of their later stuff (some used to the sound of orbital thought it was cold!) but it goes that bit further. A progressive ambient voyage of a twisted nature with superb layering of instruments and pulsating synths. There are in my opinion no stand out tracks just press play and enjoy the ride.
