A truly magical experience .
This albumm was my first introduction to Fertile Ground, and I have been a big fan ever since. Have played this CD in my car and recommended it to many people. This Album contains selected tracks from their first two albums; 'Field songs', and 'Spritual War', and is a very good mix of quality songs with positive lyrics, all performed using real instruments. I love the way band leader and writer James Collins fuses different styles of music into a unique and beautiful tapestry of songs that really move and inspire you, the more you listen to them. The third and fourth albums; 'Seasons Change' and 'Black Is', take the journey to another level without compromising their artistic integrity. I hear a new album is due out in 2007, along with a DVD of their live performances.

If you enjoy music of the highest order, you will be glad you finally discovered the music of Fertile Ground. Congratulations!

Perception- What an album
I feel like such a chump for not having fertile ground in my life all this time. I only heard of them in January 2005. This CD just continues the great sounds from a phenomenal band. Not an entertainment industry man I am not sure what went on here, but some of the songs on here are from their previous album Spiritual War. However they have added a few others and taken some off, and it makes for (in my opinion) a better CD than Spitual War. I truly love this album, its a mental fight between this Black Is.. everytime I head to the CD rack, because they are both outstanding. People please buy this album, you get live instruments, fantastic vocals, positive messages, great music fusion. My fav tracks 'Let the Wind Blow', 'Peace and Love', 'My Friend the Moon', 'Sentimental Groove', and everything else. The only thing missing that was in the Spiritual War CD was personal messages from each group member, that aside it get two thumbs from me! I am buying copies for all my friends.

Absolutely Brilliant.
Just about the best, most beautiful, spiritual music you will hear. The songs stay with you flowing through your veins like life itself. Buy it and then buy it for someone else.
