Head Nodding Beatz & Peices4
While not really being a fan of House music, this CD may do, what it did for me, help you to appreciate the genre. There are a lot of layered textures of sounds, all of which are pleasurable.
If you have come in from a nights clubbing and are winding down, this could be your tipple, or by the pool in Ibiza, it wouldn't sound out of place either.
Standout vocal contributions are on tracks 2 "Love is here to stay" and track 6 "Time" by chanteuse Niki King, who adds a smokey upbeat Jazz flavour to proceedings.
Track 9 too is a little Jazz influenced but has a super back beat which gives it a house feel and leaves the listener warm and contented.
If you have a little bit of Jazz, a little bit of soul and a little bit of House running thru your veins, then check this out, you won't be disappointed

Deep in Substance & Style5
Having deliberated on this one for a while before finally committing to it, I was only sorry I had waited so long. Having first heard Aqua Bassino on some F-Comm B sides, and the sublime 'Moonlight' as showcased on the 'Megasoft Office' CD, I knew to expect polished productions and lush arrangements but I was pleasantly surprised to find a collection of tracks offering not only clean production, but also a refreshing and thoughtful approach to sounds which had started to become a little too familiar. Take for example 'Welcome Home' which is strongly reminiscent of the St Germain sound, only the track smoulders along without ever collapsing into a 4/4 drum machine cliche and is all the better for it. Moonlight, by contrast, is a beautifully emotive, yet sparse piano composition which proves that less can definitely be more. There's nothing on this album which could be judged uninspired or formulaic, the hi-hats are crisp, the bass punchy and the Jazzy feel of many of the tracks is genuinely soulful rather than self indulgent meandering pomp. And the best thing? This one came out of Scotland! Proving that quality Jazz electronica is not the sole domain of our Gallic friends!

First class. This proves that high quality house music is still being made - and forget Chicago, Illinois - this is Scottish.
The F-Communications label has long been a stalwart for quality. This exceeds that by providing a warmth that is only hinted at in America's recent efforts. This music makes you glow and puts a spring in your step, an absolutely superb album of true house music.
