Amazon.co.uk Review
Dynamite made her name as the UK's best female garage MC. She was single-handedly responsible for making Sticky's Boo! a top-twenty hit in 2001 and looked set to become the next big thing from the UK's two-step scene. Instead, the 21-year-old North Londoner shipped herself off to New York and made an album of R&B. While A Little Deeper is good it pales alongside competition from artists such as Lauryn Hill, Mary J Blige or the similarly youthful Alicia Keys. Dynamite's natural blend of ragga, hip-hop and garage chat has virtually disappeared to be replaced by a semi-decent nasal singing voice. The only thing that now differentiates Dynamite from her American contemporaries is that she swears more. The addition of played-out US rapper Nas on "Afraid To Fly" is another sign that A Little Deeper is a prepackaged product for American consumption. The album has a couple of outstanding moments, particularly on "Dy-na-mi-tee" when this oldest of 11 brothers and sisters soulfully narrates the tale of her upbringing. "The Natural High" interlude is also spine-tingling as she slips back to her pirate-radio roots in a tirade against drugs. At 55 seconds it's not enough, leaving the album more sparkler than Dynamite. --Jake Barnes

Excellent...when's the new one out?
Ms Dynamite has got to be one of the most talented artists EVER! I bought this album the first day it was released and i was IMPRESSED soooo much i bragged about it for her in front of all my mates!!
Every song on this album is hot and they all have deep meanings which is great!
Ms Dynamite has got to be the best UK R'n'B artist too- she deffo beats the rest!
Now i cannot wait till the new one is out!
Something for everyone
This album is brilliant. Although im not really a fan of garage/rnb i was hooked on dy-na-mi-tee from the first time i heard it and so threw this album onto my birthday list not expecting too much. However i was suprised and very pleased with what i heard. Stand out tracks include: dy-n-mi-tee put him out it takes more and krazy krush. However thats not to say the others arnt great too. Theres not one track on heere that i skip or dislike. if u are thinking of experimentig in your music tastes i would really recommend this album cos theres something for everyone. garage, rnb , soul and a lil bit of hip hop.
Something for everyone
I must admit, I am not a garage person - in fact I usually detest it, rock is more my thing - but I felt I had to buy this album after hearing the 3 singles, and seeing Ms Dynamite interviewed.
I was not disappointed. The tracks are fantastic, and Ms Dynamite shows remarkable talent for a debut album. Best of all, the lyrics are deep and meaningful - again, amazingly mature to be written by a 21-year-old. You do not have to be a typical garage fan to enjoy this album, because it crosses all bases. Even if you're not a fan of the music, the lyrics give an interesting insight. Buy it!
