The first thing Ithought of when Iheard silence was that it sounded too much like p.o.d but then that all changed when I heard the song sleepwalking.Apart from them sounding abit like p.o.d it is gennerally good but a bit repetitive. One of the main reasons I baught silence is because they are so good live and I highly recommend that you should go to one of there gigs.

I absolutely love how blindside have progressed from the hardcore album 'a thought crused my mind'. this album has dramatically shifted blindside into the mainstream, which is an amazing and difficult thing, listening to this i have no reason to believe they will fail to disapoint. Christian's vocals are absolutely incredible!!! I have to be honest and say that i didn't think he was capable of such things, i mean on their previous album, he screamed mostly.
Anyway, i'd recommend this album to anyone who likes hard rock, with brilliant melodies, elements of punk and hardcore. Whether you are a Christian or not is irelevant, although the lyrical content generally deals with the Christian walk of life, it's joys, struggles, but ultimate, the album provides a positive message to life, that there is hope, no matter how difficult a situation seems to be.

Christian Hardcore at its best!!!
Blindside are the hottest new band to come out of sweden for a long time and this album, produced by Howard Benson (P.O.D.), is anything but silent! There is an obvious P.O.D. influence on the music which is never a bad thing. The lead singers vocals are full of raw emotion and the searing guitars really give it that edge.
The first single pitiful is very P.O.D. and I could listen to it all day. The band also show that they can slow it down and put out ballads like the title track silence. Other stand out tracks are Sleepwalking, The Endings and Caught A Glimpse but there are no fillers on this album.
The lyrics express their Christian beliefs clearly and they it would be a great testimony if they could get into the mainstream. If you're into metal then buy this album. You won't be disappointed.
