Product Description

'The End Of All Things To Come' is the follow up to their 2001 album 'The Beginning Of All Things To End' which consisted of live tracks and remixes from their 2000 debut 'L.D. 50'. Mudvayne alongside producer David Bottrill have recorded an album which fuses progressive rock and 'math' metal, by using numerical patterns to come up with unconventional structures and time signatures. An Amusing Little Album3
An album for the converted and not for those who listen to Gloria Estefen.....
I think there's a good dose of Rage ATM here as Silenced seems to have borrowed some rifts. A lot of growling which appears to be the idea of the whole album but then that's Mudvayne, Opeth, Mastodon and more. So if you are a big Opeth or Mastodon fan is this album for you? Probably not as it's darker and heavier. Trapped In The Wake Of A Dream tries to get briefly proggy but descends into heavyweight again. Not Falling is heavy heavy and then we have some meoldic vocals.... And that is the problem with the Album. You're never sure where it's taking you. Even the semi ballad World Is Cold gives up halfway and growls. There are still some greta heavy heavy rifts with my favourite being The Patient Mental. By the time I got Solve et Coagula the growling screaming was starting to growl and scream too much though.
Sorry Mudvayne fans but only 3 stars (just)for me.

Mudvayne fans would give this album 5 stars but if you are passing by and wondering whether to try (just like I did with great success with Riverside, Two and Amplifier) then you may be disappointed! 3 stars for me.

Mudvayne are bad3
I bought this album expecting it to be brilliant after hearing Not Falling on the Ghost Ship. But don't expect the rest of the songs to follow. They have no chorus and have little melody, they are rather dull. Also the high voice gets on my nerves it doesn't live up to contrasting hard music. There is also the screaming backing that compliments the songs.

oh3
After hearing LD50 and seeing mudvayne live at Ozzfest in Miltonkeynes, this album shocked me. LD50 was a masterpiece and dare I say, in a genre that is totally lacking in truly original bands, the best i'd heard.
So, much to my eager little ears astonishment that compared to afforementioned album this sucks ass. Don't get me wrong, if this was their first release, it would be tolerable. As a stand alone album it's ok, it has a couple of good songs but if you're expecting genius, as I was, you'll be let down. After hearing one song from their latest album and reading the other reviews, i won't even bother buying that one.
